I don't remember any time in my life when I've been more proud to be an American!
I remember John Kennedy. I was 10 when he ran for president, and I remember the great soaring speeches he made. And I remember sitting in stunned silence when he died.
I remember Dr. King. I recall the civil rights movement he headed up, and I remember the "I have a dream" speech. And I remember sitting in stunned silence when he died.
Tonight I witnessed the greatest orator I believe I've ever heard, and I was moved to tears. This is a moment I've hoped for in all of my 58 years, and barely dared to dream would come to pass in my lifetime. There is hope for America. And I don't remember any time in my life when I've been more proud to be an American!
